Innovating research, policy and education in synthetic and systems biology

Guest talk by F1000Research Editor - 14 April 2015

Scientific publishing is changing.

After the first scientific journal was printed in 1665 the way research was reported and read remained unchanged for 350 years until the advent of the Internet and Open Access.  Fifteen years later online articles are ubiquitous and Open Access is widely mandated by funders.
